The recent short sharp training sessions run by Crystal Learning at the Wooldale Centre for Learning in Northampton were successfully attended by two unpretentious and interested groups. The sessions were delivered informally with participation from all. They encouraged lots of thought provoking discussion and the facilitative style created an opportunity to share best practise.
If you attended Top Tips for Recruiters or Managing Performance Made Simple, please let us know how they worked for you.
After the successful launch of the short sharp session concept, we intend running more during 2008. If there are subjects that you want us to cover then please let us know.
Due to interest already expressed we are looking to repeat the two sessions delivered in December, Top Tips for Recruiters and Managing Performance Made Simple and to add to our repertoire. A further option that has been suggested is 'If I'm perfect, how come everyone else is different?' which is about understanding self and others to create productive relationships. This would use an internationally recognised personality profiling tool - the Strength Deployment Inventory that provides distinctive and easily transferable information.

I attended the short sharp sessions at the Wooldale Centre for Learning and
was very impressed by both. Training I have attended before has been very
'classroom ' based with the trainer at the front talking at the group. Here,
Sally actually sat with the group and we had meaningful discussions and
shared real life problems and practices. There was a framework to the
session and Sally was very flexible to spend time on the areas that were
important to us. The time flew and it felt very much like a coaching session
with adult discussions - highly recommended.
