Recent research shows that fewer jobs today require qualifications than ever before!
That doesn't mean that job adverts are no longer asking for qualifications. What it does mean is it is possible to perform the job role without them. So the important thing is not that people have completed a series of study but that they can demonstrate the skills, knowledge and behaviours associated with the particular job.
The survey goes on to identify that pragmatic skills such as computer skills, influencing, teaching others and presentation skills are of more value in the world of work.
For learning & development professionals everywhere this is not news - that management teams and organisations are beginning to identify it is refreshing!
What do you think?
